She is one of the bravest and most impressive seniors I have ever met. And when she signed up for Radical healing, Radical transformation™ I was super thrilled.

My oldest client is 88 years old. Remember? I mentioned her a few weeks ago. And she complained about her balance.

The first edition of RHRT™ has come to an end. And in the next two weeks I will share the journey of two amazing ladies with you.

I think the biggest frustration is when we can’t go deep enough. A single private or group class often doesn’t allow enough space to go deeper and explain things further.

Mummy has scoliosis that thankfully doesn’t bother her much. Scoliosis means that the spine is deformed, curving to the side. She broke her left hip about 20 years ago and her legs were very weak. Her breath was quite shallow and she had a hunchback.

Did you notice that I used the past tense to describe some of her features? Well, I do that because within the past six weeks I have observed Grandma changing dramatically.

The first time I practiced with her was on 2 March 2016. We had a few yoga classes together that year focusing on breath and stretching. But this time around was completely different.

Time always went by so quickly when working with Mummy. She is super receptive and was very committed to the program. It was in her 7th session that I noticed a difference. Her breath was solid, and the backs of her thighs (hamstrings) seemed much stronger.

In her 9th yoga session she stood on one leg and she took a few stairs without holding the handrail. Also, her legs had become so strong that she didn’t need my help anymore getting off the floor.

In the 11th class I wanted to recap the past weeks of the course before practicing the sequence I designed for her in order to continue her yoga practice on her own. It was very important for me to understand what she gained from this program. Healing comes in stages. And we easily take these changes for granted.

I mean, we had been through a lot in these few weeks. This woman was brave enough to radically change her diet and follow Dr. Buki Kogbe’s dietary recommendations. Out of all the clients who started RHRT™ she is the only person who put all her fears aside and explored herself beyond her comfort zone. From one day to the other she radically changed the way she ate. Picture this! This amazing woman changed something she had done for 87 YEARS, simply because she was ready.

This doesn’t mean that it was easy for her. At some point she was actually so confused on what to eat and what not to eat that she unfortunately started to lose weight. I sat down with her, re-assessed her eating behavior and emphasized some critical points. She thankfully started to gain weight again. But she still misses her muffins made from ordinary wheat flour. The ones made from oat flour are a bit to dry for her liking. Also, she longs to eat ham and toast. But – she gave it a try.

Today her nightly cramps have disappeared, her phlegm reduced and her constipation is virtually gone. She still feels tired a lot but I really hope that this will change in the near future.

“However,” she continued, when speaking about her progress. “The best thing is my posture,” she said. “I am so glad,” she added, “that now it comes naturally to me.” I realized that I was a bit too much in her face. I kept asking her too many questions at once in order to fully understand what she was talking about. Mummy pondered. And while she did, she did what she always does when she sits: She slouched.

I wasn’t thinking much about it. But then something happened: She took a deep in-breath and extended her spine. She sat up straight. Just like that. This is radical healing!
