It was on 19 July 2014 that she first invited me to her home to get a better understanding of yoga. I met her through another client of mine. She is very receptive and quickly understood what yoga is all about. Our sessions were off and on, but I always knew that yoga is for her.

She is one of my bigger clients weighing 129kg at a height of 180cm.

When she signed up for RHRT™ I was actually surprised. I didn’t think she was ready for this commitment. But she wanted in. Why?

I think the biggest frustration is when we can’t go deep enough. A single private or group class often doesn’t allow enough space to go deeper and explain things further.

I must admit that going exclusive really works for me and the ones that sign up. Having discovered a new way to help you out on your journey to develop your personal yoga practice allows me to spend more time with fewer clients. This exclusive approach offers space for radical healing.

What has helped me assist this particular client even better than before the program is that I had the space to thoroughly assess her and understand the constitution of her body. This knowledge changed our work-out routine entirely. I realized that she needed much more strength in certain muscle groups than flexibility in others.

Already in the third session I noticed how strong she had become. It was amazing. I saw immediate results: She performed the Standing Half Moon Pose, an intermediate/advanced pose, where you stand on one leg and lift the other one while at least five fingers stay on the ground.

In the fifth session I noticed that her abs had gotten much stronger. And in the seventh class it was obvious. I actually had to take a second look to make sure I wasn’t making it up.

I could see her waistline! In fact, I didn’t understand what had happened. But she looked awesome. Even her face started to change. I mentioned it to her and she said: “I know!!!”

And she went on: How people mentioned to her that she lost. And that they thought it came from inside. That she herself when looking in the mirror thought she looked hot. And how it has changed the dynamics in her house.

Even her daughter who normally doesn’t have a very good posture now adjusts how she stands and tries not to hunch whenever she sees her mum standing properly. And her husband clearly likes what he sees.

I listened and marvelled.

We both knew that her progress was not due to an improved diet. But we are working on it.

Healing is an inside job. And yoga helps! It takes time. I am here to help.
